The book The Council of Mirrors is the ninth book in the series of the sisters Grimm, all written by Michael Buckley. The book takes place in a fictional town named FerryPort Landing located on the actual state of New York. The book is about two sisters, named Sabrina and Daphne, who's parents are kidnapped by an unknown society. The sisters are constantly placed in different foster houses, until their long lost grandmother founds them and decides to take them. To her town. The town is full of fairytale character, some good and some bad. The evil character is called Mirror and he plans to scape town. He fails when the sister's parents are rescued and freed, so Mirror finds a way to get into Granny's Relda body and scape that way.
This ninth book develops during the "final war" between good and evil and it revolves around Sabrina's training and her relationship with Puck (the guy she is in likes) and how it becomes more evident everyday that they have feelings for each other. At the end Sabrina becomes the leader of the troops and momentarily a witch with a lot of magical power. They save their grandmother and destroy the barrier that kept every fairy-tale character in the town. The protagonist is, (as you may already guess) is Sabrina, who leads the army of rebels and defeat Mirror. The antagonist is Puck; he always wants to argue with Sabrina and chooses always the opposite of what she wants. He is not responsible and its very immature, contrary to Sabrina.
This book became one of my favorite books that i have ever read since it has more than one genre, like some book do. The whole series, specially this ninth book, has genres like: Suspense, Comedy, Romance, Action, and the one i love the most, Fantasy. I Love the way the author describes the surrounding of the book and all its features, like: character, action, setting and feelings. A description so rich in details makes me feel like I am a character I'm the book that is seeing everything from a first-hand experience. After reading this book i feel a bit sad because i've reading the series for 3 years always waiting for the next book to be released, but with this being the last i feel like there is no way to know what will happen to the characters now; i wished they would make a tv show or some movies that could keep the characters alive.
I would recommend this book to every person i know. I wish everyone would love this book and know more about it because its really good and teaches a lot of morals and life. If i had to be more selective i would choose anyone who loves a book about fantasy and magic. I don't think there should be an age limit, actually i encourage anyone who want to be a kid again and have a good time to read this book.
